Help Us to Care for Abandoned, Impoverished or Abused Girls in Kenya at Light of Hope!

Lighthouse Ministries International of Africa DBA Light of Hope Kenya (LOH), founded by Boni and Sandy Karanja of Plymouth, Minnesota, is a home & school for girls in Naivasha, Kenya.  Light of Hope provides Refuge, Restoration, and Redirection for abandoned, impoverished or abused girls in Kenya who would otherwise become victims of society.  We provide shelter, quality education, training and counseling in a supportive Christian family environment in order to enable them to live independently and emerge as leaders in the community.

When LOH opened its doors in 2006, there were just five girls, one permanent building and eight acres of land. We had no water, no electricity, and very few resources.  Now, sixteen years later, more than 400 girls have or are being supported by LOH.  We now have a 15 acre campus with running water, electricity, permanent classrooms, two dorms, a modern kitchen and bathrooms.  The progress at LOH is tremendous and we are grateful for the many people who have contributed to our growth.

Please help us reach our fundraising goal.  We only have $15,000 left to raise!  Your gift will be gratefully accepted, no matter the amount!  For more information about Light of Hope, visit our website at http://lightofhopekenya.org/
